According to http://iwl.me/ , my fiction and non-fiction writing most resembles Kurt Vonnegut. Except when I'm writing about important social issues. Then, consistently, I come across as Douglas Adams. I think I understand why I'm not taken seriously any longer.

It could be worse, though. Doqz keeps coming up as Dan Brown. Anything you want to admit?

I'm getting Douglas Adams and Stephen King. I am not sure how I feel about this.

I get Douglas Adams and Bram Stoker from a couple fanfics I've written.

I'm two parts Mark Twain, one part... Nabokov? And my research writing comes out as Kurt Vonnegut. I'm not sure how I feel about this, but I do really like Mark Twain! That's rough on the Douglas Adams bit, though.

...all this proved to me was that I need to do more not journal or fic writing as I couldn't remember the last thing I wrote. Grump.

I got JD Salinger, Stephen King, & Margaret Atwood

...I don't think I've ever read any of these people. Maybe JD Salinger.

Salinger, King and Rowling from the one thing I've written by myself at the moment. Rowling came up twice and I know I come no where near Salinger and I hate King, so it's an odd grouping of names to attach to my stuff. XD

I got H.P. Lovecraft and Dan Brown from my non-fiction at Geeking Out About.

WTF?

My blog posts are all over the map. I get Poe, King, Lovecraft, Dan Brown, James Joyce...and probably one other I can't remember now. One of my LJ posts gets Leo Tolstoy. A snippet from an HP fic gets...JKR!

Apparently I write like Arthur Conan Doyle. *tilts head* Not sure how I feel about that.

I supposedly write like Raymond Chandler, if only I knew who that was.

Having googled the name, I now realise that I do know who that was, I'd just forgotten his actual name. (It's weird that I recognise styles and characters/series but not always names of authors.)

Huh, that's actually quite interesting. Maybe I should write more detective novels. :)

Interestingly, putting in a chapter of an actual story I've written, rather then just a journal entry, it comes up with Rudyard Kipling.

So it seems my conversational tone is Raymond Chandler, and my 'writing' tone is Rudyard Kipling. Interesting.

In a vaguely disturbing turn, I apparently write like James Joyce. And occasionally HP Lovecraft.

Actually, neither of those surprises me that much, now I think about it.
